Coral reef ecology. CREMP is a repeated measures monitoring program that occurs annually throughout the Florida Keys and Southeast Florida. CREMP managed by FWC. SECREMP managed by FCO/CRCP

Notes

Includes CREMP project regions Florida Keys, Dry Tortugas (ID985) and Southeast Florida (ID3020). 2 CREMP sites in the Dry Tortugas + 1 outside of the Dry Tortugas Bounary established in 1999. The NPS added 5 additional sites in 2004 - a total of 7 sites currently within the Dry Tortugas. These stations are used to maintain the Dry Tortugas Species Inventory starting in 2004 (7 sites x 4 stations per site = 23 permanent stations). The NPS-funded sites are captured in DB_ID 985 - Coral Reef Evaluation and Monitoring Project (Dry Tortugas). Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides funding for CREMP

Application

To meet the Water Quality Protection Program's (WQPP) mandated for the establishment of comprehensive monitoring programs for corals, seagrasses and water quality in the Florida Keys National Marine Sactuary needed to document temporal changes.
