Coastal change analysis. Standardized database of land cover and land change information for the coastal regions of the U.S. Inventories of coastal inter-tidal areas, wetlands, and adjacent uplands.

Landcover thematic class, percent impervious surface, percent tree canopy cover.

Notes

These products update all previously released versions of landcover and impervious products for CONUS (NLCD 2001, NLCD 2006, NLCD 2011) and are not directly comparable to previous products. A new High Resolution land cover mapping started in 2021, but as of Nov. 28, 2023 it is only available for the Tampa area: https://coast.noaa.gov/digitalcoast/data/ccaphighres.html .

Application

To contribute the “coastal expression” of the National Land Cover Database (NLCD) and the A-16 land cover theme of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
