Summary

This project is a continuation of water quality assessment for the Southeast Florida region from Martin to Miami-Dade County with the goal of identifying and reducing both the constituents and impacts of land-based sources of pollution on coral reef ecosystems. It consisted of monthly water sampling for laboratory analysis from reef, inlet, and outfall sites at nine inlets along the coast. Sampling started in September 2016 and is currently ongoing.

Total Nitrogen, Nitrate/Nitrite, Ammonium, Total Phosphorus, Orthophosphate, Silica, Total Suspended Solids, Turbidity, and Salinity.

Notes

Application

To provide data to describe the status and temporal trends of water quality in the Southeast Florida region, and to detect change in the ecosystem and link observed changes and spatial differences with reef health.
