Summary

Continuous water quality data are collected at five water quality stations (Station IDs: BBBB14, BBJT71, BBLR03, BBMRSC, BBMRDW) located within the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves in 15-minute intervals for eight parameters using protocols established by the National Estuarine Research Reserve's System-Wide Monitoring Program. This program is paired with the North Biscayne Bay Water Quality Program (5026) and relates to the benthic data collected in the North Biscayne Bay Seagrass Loss Monitoring Program (5027).

Application

To measure changes in estuarine waters that help provide a better understanding of how human activities and natural events can affect coastal resources and to provide valuable data on the short-term variability and long-term changes in estuaries to researchers, natural resource managers and other coastal decision-makers.
