- Summary
- Surface elevation
- Parameters
- Vertical surface elevation (before, during, after restoration)
- Notes
- Fledgling project indended to be long-term (2014 SETS installed, first data collection January 2015). RBNERR has multiple SETs in the reserve; the GPS coordinates can be found by contacting Jill or Jeremy Conrad (jeremy_conrad@fws.gov). The SETs installed by USGS in Goodland represent a mangrove die-off area; other SETs located around the reserve are for elevation change in different mangrove habitat types. Jim Lynch (formerly USGS, now NPS) and Don Cahoon (formerly USGS) established those, and they are now under RBNERR maintenance.
- Application
- To initiate long-term monitoring of soil surface elevation change within degraded and restored mangroves within Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
