- This coral reef monitoring protocol guides the monitoring of reefs within two national parks in Florida: Biscayne National Park (BISC) and Dry Tortugas National Park (DRTO).

- Video transects to calculate a benthic % cover, coral species lists, diadema counts, coral colony counts (colonies > 4 cm), coral disease lesions, rugosity
- Notes
- To determine whether percent cover of stony coral as well as other major taxonomic groups (e.g., algae [turf, calcareous, macroalgae], gorgonians, sponge, and substrate), coral species diversity, coral community structure, and rugosity are changing through time within selected coral reef sites.
